- 1986 – 1990 – University studies in translation science (German, English, French) in Germersheim (University of Mainz), Edinburgh and Brussels with the supplementary subject „Law“ (specialising in EU law, stock corporation and securities law), passing grade „good“
- 1991 – 2001 – Employee in the legal department of the capital goods association VDMA e.V. in Frankfurt; translations in all areas of business and tax law for commissions, authorities, industry standards (e.g. contracts templates for the ICC Paris, the UN Banks Commission, the European umbrella organisation ORGALIME); consulting to member enterprises regarding contractual agreements involving foreign languages, terminologist for legal technical terms and definitions in the foreign language.
- 1999 – Official authorisation (in other Federal States: „swearing-in“) for the languages English and French by the President of the competent District Court Frankenthal.
- Since 2001 – Freelance translator for the languages German, English and French, translation firm transjura.de, additional specialisation in M&A, IFRS, complex legalisations and authentication procedures.
- Continuous further training in all technical and professional areas of the translation industry. Former project manager for further education of the professional association “BDÜ” in Rheinland-Palatine.
